The Oyo State Command of the Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), also known as Amotekun, has successfully rescued the two wives and two sons of Baale Alagede, who were kidnapped from their residence at Alagede Village near Kola Daisi University, Akinyele, Ibadan.

According to reports, Amotekun operatives collaborated with local hunters to comb Ojutaye Forest along Oretu road, where they rescued the victims. Unfortunately, one of the brave hunters from Oretu Village lost his life during the operation.

A credible source described the hunter’s death as “unfortunate,” stating that efforts were underway to evacuate his corpse for burial.

As of the time of writing, Amotekun operatives and local hunters were still in pursuit of the kidnappers, who were reportedly holed up in a specific area. Police officers from the Anti-Kidnapping Squad (AKS) of Oyo State Police Command have taken custody of the rescued victims from the Amotekun team.
