Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, has praised the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, following President Bola Tinubu’s vote of confidence in his leadership. Ata described this endorsement as a strong indication that party members are convinced of Ganduje’s progressive efforts in leading the party.

The decision, ratified during the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting held on February 25, 2025, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, reflects the party’s unwavering confidence in Ganduje’s leadership. Ata noted that this endorsement is expected to further motivate the APC chairman to elevate the party to greater heights, ensuring electoral victories in upcoming elections.

Ata commended Ganduje for his contributions to the APC and for making Kano State proud through his exemplary leadership on the national stage. Ganduje’s extensive political experience, including eight years as Deputy Governor and another eight years as Governor of Kano State, has strengthened the party’s structures and fostered unity among its members.

According to Ata, “Since assuming the role of National Chairman on August 3, 2023, Dr. Ganduje has demonstrated exceptional leadership, steering the APC to remarkable successes in various elections.” Under his guidance, the party has achieved significant victories in off-cycle governorship elections, notably in Edo, Ondo, Kogi, and Imo States.

Ata stated, “In Edo State, the APC’s candidate, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, secured a decisive win in the September 2024 governorship election, a testament to the party’s growing influence in the region.” Ganduje had congratulated Okpebholo on his victory, noting that it reflects the faith and trust that the people have in the APC.
