In preparation for an impending shooting practice, the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) has issued a warning to the people living in the Kaduna neighborhoods of Afaka, Kauya, and Mando, advising them to avoid the open range that the academy maintains.

Maj. Muhammad Maidawa, the Public Relations Officer at the academy, made the announcement in a statement that was supplied to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Kaduna.

In a statement, Maidawa stated that the drill was planned to take place between the dates of February 26 and March 1.

With regard to the Army Cadets of the 72 Regular Course, he stated that the exercise was a component of the advanced application of fire package.

As far as he is concerned, the exercise would involve the actual firing of armaments, and he also mentioned that it is necessary for the cadets’ development and training.

Through the placement of barriers and warning signs around the range areas, he emphasized the significance of safety and the value of establishing limited zones.

According to him, the warning was issued as a necessary precaution to help ensure that the training exercise was successful and to prevent any potential harm to people.

Maidawa stated, “Residents, particularly farmers, pedestrians, and cattle rearers are urged to strictly adhere to these warnings and steer clear of the area during the duration of the exercise.

“The NDA has assured that the safety and well-being of all the citizens in the surrounding communities are a top priority and has called for cooperation and collaboration from the community members.

“By steering clear of the designated area, the residents can help ensure their safety and the effective training of military personnel.”
