HFN’s incoming president, Njide Ndili, reiterated the federation’s commitment to strengthening private-public partnerships and leveraging technology to enhance healthcare access.

The federation made this plea during its 10th-anniversary celebration, which featured a health walk and blood donor drive in Lagos.

HFN urged the government to create incentives for local pharmaceutical manufacturing, improve access to healthcare financing, and adopt sustainable energy solutions for hospitals. The federation emphasized that universal healthcare can only be achieved when all stakeholders, including the government, private sector, and civil society, work together strategically.

Key Recommendations by HFN:

– _Improve Access to Healthcare Financing_: HFN advocated for innovative financing models to ensure that all Nigerians have access to quality healthcare.

– _Promote Local Pharmaceutical Manufacturing_: The federation urged the government to create incentives for local pharmaceutical manufacturing to reduce dependence on imported drugs.

– _Adopt Sustainable Energy Solutions_: HFN recommended that hospitals adopt sustainable energy solutions to reduce their reliance on generators and promote environmental sustainability.

The event, which was part of HFN’s anniversary celebration, featured a blood donation drive in partnership with the Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service. HFN’s Pioneer President, Mrs. Claire Omashaye, emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives.
