Galatasaray Against Fenerbahce Ended In A Goalless Draw

Galatasaray the Turkish League Leader maintain their position, after a goalless draw with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce side.

After so many refereeing controversy on the Turkish League, both teams requested an intervention for the appointed official for the derby, which saw last year’s UEFA Champions League final referee, Slavko Vincic, given the job.

Mourinho side who called the referee into action the most in the early stages with several fouls committed in a stop-start affair that saw Gala dominate possession.

Fenerbahce thought they had opened the Net, just before the quarter hour mark when Dusan Tadic’s deflected effort hit the back of the net, but the goal was quickly disallowed after Sebastian syzmanski was adjudged to have fouled Fernando muslera.

Galatasaray took heed and regained control of the contest with 70% possession in an opening 45 minutes that lacked goalmouth action.

The home side could not register a shot on target in the first half, with the main action involving referee Vincic, as he waved away penalty appeals for Gala after Victor Osimhen was brought down in the box.

The second half began in the same pattern as the first, with little threat going forward for both sides.

Caglar Soyunc saw a header comfortably saved by Muslera, shortly before Fred  flashed a shot wide of the post as fener blooked the likeliest to break the deadlock

Fenerbahce continued to play hard for the opener as Alexander Djiku was next to go close for Mourinho’s men, this time calling Muslera make a great stop. 

The home side attempted to play forward in the final quarter-hour, but following a disappointing initial 75 minutes, but the Mourinho’s men stop them,the game ended in a Goalless Draw as Fenerbahce stop them from scoreing this season
