A disturbing incident occurred at an undisclosed location where the Delta State Polytechnic Student Union  President (SUG) was allegedly assaulted and his vehicle damaged. The incident, which was captured on video, is said to have occurred over a bribe demand of ₦500.

Available information indicate that, the SUG President was confronted by a group of policemen who demanded a bribe of ₦500. When the SUG President refused to comply, hell was let loose by the visibly angry policemen who allegedly assaulted him and fired bullets into his vehicle.

The incident has sparked outrage among students and staff at the polytechnic, with many calling for justice and condemning the brazen act of violence.

A video of the incident, which is in possession of Ireportnew247 showed the SUG President being confronted and assaulted by the policemen. The video also captures the sound of gunfire and the damage to the SUG President’s vehicle.

Relevant authorities have been urged to investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice. The safety and well-being of students and staff at the polytechnic must be ensured, and such acts of violence and intimidation must not be tolerated.
