Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde states that education is one of his administration’s top priorities.
Makinde stated his administration had improved primary, secondary, and higher education in the state.
Makinde also thinks foreign education might help the state grow economically.
On Friday, Makinde’s Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, represented him at the second International Study Abroad Fair (ISAF) 2025. Which had the theme “Global Mastery, Local Impact: Empowering Minds Through International Education,” at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
Makinde gave the keynote address, “Harnessing International Education Experience for Local Economic Development.”
He said that international education is about learning new ideas, mastering advanced skills, and building networks across continents.
He said that while international education is excellent, youths must come home to apply their abilities to improve the country and make a contribution.
