This year’s event is a collaboration between Trace and Zanzibar’s Ministry of Tourism, aiming to spotlight the achievements of African musicians, creators, entrepreneurs, and influencers.
Minister of Tourism Mudrik Soraga expressed pride in hosting the event, highlighting its potential to recognize the impact of African creatives on the global stage.
Olivier Laouchez, Co-Founder and CEO of Trace, shared his excitement about holding the awards in Zanzibar, emphasizing its rich cultural heritage and tourism potential.
The event will feature performances from leading African and Afro-descent artists, with an audience of 7,000 fans, artists, influencers, and policymakers from across Africa and around the globe.
The Trace Awards 2025 will not only celebrate African music but also provide a platform for creative discussions, empowerment, and networking through the Trace Summit, taking place on February 24-25, 2025
