Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu has laid out a 9-point agenda, and the State Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning has established a Technical Working Committee to see it through.
The decision, according to commissioner Dr. Abubakar Mohammad Zayyana, was made to help the line ministries grasp the governor’s vision and put policies in place that complement the nine points agenda.
Among other things, Dr. Abubakar Zayyana said that the committee’s mandate was to reveal the anticipated results of each agenda and to identify some of the accomplishments documented thus far in each agenda.
So, the commissioner urged the committee to work enthusiastically to achieve the committee’s goals for the state’s benefit.
Alhaji Sani Abdullahi, the director of planning for the ministry, serves as secretary and Professor Abubakar Sabir Muhammad as head of the committee.
The committee includes permanent secretary Ministry of Information and Orientation Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, Professor Abubakar Abdullahi of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Abubaka Bala Sokoto. Chief Corporate Services Officer of Backbone Connectivity Network Nigeria Limited, Technical Assistant Alhaji Abdullahi Abdullrahaman Shagari, and Director Budget of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning Alhaji Buhari Umar Musheshi.
Professor Abubakar Sabir Muhammad, the committee chairman, promised to justify the ministry’s trust.
He told his members to buckle down and work hard to complete their mission.
