The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board will start distributing traveling materials to intending Hajj pilgrims on Saturday, February 23, 2025. The distribution exercise will take place during the second phase of the education and orientation program in Abuja.
The exercise will be held at the permanent Hajj camp, Bassan Jiwa, close to the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, between Saturday and Sunday. Intending pilgrims will receive uniforms, literature, and audio materials to aid in their learning of Hajj rites during the Islamic month of Ramadan.
The board has secured the necessary materials to enable pilgrims to prepare for the spiritual journey. Activities will be suspended during the fasting period to allow pilgrims to participate in Ramadan activities. Full preparations will resume after the fasting period to ensure a smooth and well-organized pilgrimage.
Intending pilgrims who have not yet returned their completed application forms or submitted their international passports are urged to do so. This will enable the board to fast-track the process of obtaining their travel documents before the commencement of their movement to Saudi Arabia.
