After being listed as wanted by the Ogun State Police Command, Portable offered his side of the story in a heartbreaking Instagram video plea, denying any wrongdoing and asserting that he is being targeted by bad people.
As a law-abiding citizen who earns a living from his music, Portable expressed his worry and despair at being harassed.
He asserted that people who are envious of his success are targeting him because he is a superstar rather than a problem.
He stated, “Nigeria, this is when I need you people’s help. There’s no place like home, but ev!l people full home. Why only me? Why do I have issues in Nigeria? I do music for a living, I’m not a thief, I don’t kill people.
“I wait for my blessing. I bless people too. I don’t make trouble. People look for my trouble, I’m a superstar. God forgive me if I do any bad. After God, na government.
“They set me up with the government. I don’t have any issues with the government or police. Some people just came to my house, telling me to pack out. I’m not a criminal.
“I’m not feeling fine. And I’m afraid. I don’t want them to lock me up. I’m going through pain all over my body. I’m a Federal Government liability. I didn’t go to school, I’m a fashion designer.
“I fear government. I am a federal government liability. Then I’m a madman; I have medications that I usually take. You can confirm from Aro Hospital. I have a card that certifies me as one of their patients.
“I am from Abeokuta and they are taking care of me there. I am not a thief, I help people around me without even looking at their background.”
