President Bola Tinubu met with Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.

The meeting occurred hours after the Senate summoned intelligence chiefs to investigate claims that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been funding terrorist organizations, including Boko Haram.

Akpabio stated during Wednesday’s plenary session that Nigeria won’t allow USAID to continue operating in the country if found guilty of sponsoring terrorism. He emphasized the importance of verifying the allegations.

Akpabio’s motorcade was spotted outside the villa, while other vehicles entered the premises with unidentified occupants.

The meeting’s details remain undisclosed, but it’s believed to be related to the ongoing investigation into USAID’s alleged ties to terrorism.
