Grok 3, the newest AI model from Elon Musk’s xAI, was introduced on Tuesday. According to the company, it performs better than OpenAI and China’s DeepSeek.

Early testing supports this claim, including standardized assessments in math, science, and coding.

The entrepreneur hopes the chatbot will gain popularity in a highly competitive market that is fought by companies like China’s DeepSeek and ChatGPT.

The debut coincides with the world’s wealthiest man using the vast authority handed to him by US President Donald Trump to reorganize and abolish federal agencies.

Due to the fact that many of those agencies have regulatory authority over aspects of Musk’s vast corporate empire, the unprecedented cost-cutting push has sparked concerns about competing interests.

Musk said, “Grok is to understand the universe.

“We’re driven by curiosity about the nature of the universe, that’s also what causes us to be a maximally truth-seeking AI, even if that truth is sometimes at odds with what is politically correct.”

Furthermore, xAI unveiled “Deep Search,” a new product positioned as a search engine of the future.

According to the xAI team, Grok 3 will be made available to premium X members in the US starting Tuesday.

The online and app versions will also be available through a separate subscription.

Speaking at the World Governments Summit in Dubai last week, Musk said the model was “scary smart” and had strong reasoning skills.

He also claimed that in xAI’s internal tests, it performed better than any other model currently in use.
