Nollywood actress Chika Ike has broken her silence on the paternity of her unborn baby, dismissing rumors that Senator Ned Nwoko is the father.
In an Instagram post, Ike stated that she felt compelled to address the rumor because it involved her child. She emphasized that mentioning Nwoko as the father was mere speculation and stressed that she is not interested in becoming his seventh wife, as polygamy is not her preference.
Ike wrote, “There have been all sorts of lies paddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are – rumors that needed no response. But this is different, this is about my child… You all do not know anything about me! Because you can’t! Except I choose to disclose.
“She urged those propagating the false news to continue speculating, adding that she is focused on her pregnancy and that is all that matters.
This development comes after Nwoko denied rumors that he was planning to marry Ike as his seventh wife and that she was pregnant with his child. Nwoko’s Director of Communications described the rumors as “entirely baseless” and a product of malicious speculation.
