PSC Approves Jimoh Moshood as CP,Lagos State Command

Olohundare Moshood Jimoh has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, with effect from Monday, February 17, 2025, by the Police Service Commission (PSC).

Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC spokesperson, stated in a statement that “CP Jimoh was the Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority, Eastern Ports, prior to his appointment.”

Kwara State native CP Jimoh has held a number of important roles, including Deputy Commissioner, Airport Police, Deputy Commissioner, Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner, General Investigation. He was previously the Force Public Relations Officer.

Ahead of his Monday appearance before the PSC, which was attended by key officials such as the Commission’s Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), Justice Adamu Paul Galmuje (rtd), and DIG Taiwo Lakanu (rtd), CP Jimoh was confirmed as a recipient of the Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year, which was given by the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations in recognition of his exceptional contributions to Nigerian public relations.

The appointment demonstrates the Commission’s dedication to bolstering leadership and guaranteeing efficient policing in Lagos State.
