The body of South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron was found at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on Sunday afternoon by a friend who notified the police right away.
Police received the call at around 4:50 p.m. local time.
Kim Sae-ron 24 years old born in 2000, she first gained notoriety as a child actress in 2009, and she later starred in The Neighbor (2012) and the 2010 action thriller The Man from Nowhere.
After a drunk driving incident in May 2022, for which she was fined 20 million won (£11,000) in April 2023, her career was placed on hiatus.
Kim Sae-ron role in the 2023 Netflix miniseries Bloodhounds was drastically cut as a result of the uproar, and it ended up being her final on-screen performance.
Since no evidence of a break-in was discovered, authorities have begun an inquiry into the cause of death, but as of right now, there are no indications that foul play was involved.
