The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, announced in a statement that the incident that occurred on Saturday.
That One Christian Ndubuisi, a resident of the 3-3 area in Anambra State has been arrested for stabbing his elder brother, during an argument.
Tochukwu Ikenga explained that police operatives from the 3-3 Divisional Headquarters, responded immidately to a report of the incident on Saturday and arrested one Ndubuisi at the point of the incident where he allegedly murdered his elder brother during an argument between the two of them which resulted into a physical altercation.
Tochukwu said, Preliminary information said it, that during the fight between the suspect and the deceased, he used a bottle he broke and stabbed his elder brother.
the victim was rushed to the hospital and was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty due to bleeding.
Tochukwu reported that the state police commissioner, CP Ikioye Orutugu, emphasised that the incident serves as a somber reminder of the importance of conflict resolution and anger management.
He said it was very tragic to hear that a minor disagreement escalated into a violent confrontation, resulting to the loss of life.
CP lkioye directed that the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka, assure justice will be severd.
