At the University of Ibadan in Oyo State, robbers broke into Awolowo Hall early on Saturday and took thousands of naira’s worth of items from students.
Jewellery, clothes, several phones, and other valuables were among the stolen goods.
Reports state that the raid, which continued for several hours, also involved harassment of the impacted kids.
Some of the thieves were apprehended and turned over to police at Sango Police Station, while a manhunt was initiated for the remaining suspects on the run.
The hall wardens reported that the robbers took the students’ phones, according to the institution’s public relations officer, Mrs. Joke Akinpelu, who verified the occurrence.
