The Oyo State Anti-Corruption Agency OYACA has launched a formal investigation into serious allegations of fraudulent fund misappropriation involving Comrade Kola Carew, the Chairman of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), BCOS Chapter and his excos.

In a voice note widely shared among union members and the public, Comrade Carew voiced his deep concerns about the allegations. He disclosed that specific individuals within the union had reported him to the anti-corruption agency. Comrade sees this as betrayal.
He characterised the viewed betrayal with disappointment and protective sentiment, referring to them as “my children.”
In his impassioned message, Carew outlined his accomplishments during his tenure as Chairman, emphasising significant strides in enhancing union activities, increasing benefits for members, and fostering a spirit of solidarity among workers.
