According to authorities, a teacher at an elementary school in the Central City of Daejeon who is accused of brutally stabbing an 8-year-old student claimed she was annoyed after being kicked out of a class.
She reportedly told the police, “I got annoyed just three days after returning to work,” after claiming that an unnamed individual had prevented her from instructing a session.
When she was arrested on Tuesday, the 40-year-old female instructor admitted to stabbing the youngster on the school’s second floor and then delivered the statement to the police.
Due to severe bleeding, the girl was eventually declared dead at a hospital.
According to the police, the suspect had been receiving therapy for depression since 2018 and had considered suicide during a six-month sick leave that started in early December.
On the day of the attack, however, she bought a weapon and went back to the school to look for a target after returning early from her leave. The teacher admitted to authorities that she planned to die beside a youngster by waiting for them to leave an after-school program.
She said, “I told the last child leaving that I would give her a book and took her with me to the audiovisual room where I strangled and stabbed her.”
Other faculty members separated the two, although at the time, no police reports were made.According to police, in order to ascertain the precise cause of death, they have requested that the National Forensic Service do an autopsy on the child’s body.
