Douglas Luiz, a former Manchester City midfielder, was not acquired by Manchester United on the deadline.
Luiz, who went from Aston Villa to Juventus last summer, was available during the January transfer window, but he ultimately stayed.
According to Italian transfer specialist Nicolo Schira, United attempted to sign the Brazil international on loan on Monday, the deadline, but was unable to come to an agreement.
Schira stated: “Man Utd offered an expensive loan with the option to buy, but Juve have turned down the bid.”
After selling Nicolo Fagioli to Fiorentina, Juventus made the decision to take Luiz off the transfer list.
