Barcelona is expected to make Wojciech Szczesny a new contract offer.
In order to cover Marc-Andre ter Stegen following his season-ending ACL injury, Szczesny signed a contract to the end of the term after being persuaded to come out of retirement by Barca earlier this season.
Sport claims that management wants to extend the Pole’s contract beyond the upcoming season because he is currently considered Barca’s number one player, surpassing Inaki Pena.
Barca is pleased to rely on Szczesny for the foreseeable future and wants to give Ter Stegen as much time as possible to heal.
Therefore, in the upcoming weeks, a new 12-month contract is being created for the former Juventus keeper to consider.
