Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim admits they were disappointing for Friday night’s FA Cup win against Leicester City.United won 2-1 with Harry Maguire nodding a winner in injury-time.

After the fact, Amorim stated, “This game has nothing to do with Fergie’s time, but we had to believe until the very end. In my opinion, we need to perform considerably better both with and without the ball.

“We started off lacking energy, particularly in the first half. We then played a little bit better and faster in the second half, earning second balls. After that, we were able to make things better, so it wasn’t a bad performance but rather a good outcome.

“The coach bears the primary responsibility when a team fails to perform or progress, but we are here to do things, watch the game, analyze it, and attempt to do better for the next one.

“I believe it’s the little things; if you watch sports, sometimes it’s to hold the ball, control it, and not give it away under pressure.

It’s everything, including the little and large things. “It’s this moment, it’s hard away but especially at home but we have to cope with that and we will try to do it next game.”
