Gabriel Martinelli had an injury that has hurt Arsenal.
During Arsenal’s midweek Carabao Cup semifinal second-leg loss to Newcastle United, Martinelli lost it.
According to the Athletic, the Brazil forward will be out for more than a month due to a hamstring injury.
With Gabriel Jesus sidelined for the season due to an ACL injury and Bukayo Saka out, the Gunners already lack offensive depth.
The problem was made worse by Arsenal’s inability to acquire a new striker in January, even though they made a last-ditch effort to recruit center-forward Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa.
