Bello Turji, a prominent terrorist leader, is in a frantic attempt to flee Zamfara State due to the military’s unrelenting campaign against terrorists, according to Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Christopher Musa.

Musa added that Turji is shivering after two of his senior commanders, Kachalla Gwammade and Kachalla Shehu, were killed on Thursday night.

At the CDS Joint Task Force Commanders Conference concluding ceremony in Abuja on Friday, he made this statement.

Troops moved into the villages of Tufan and Mashima in a subsequent operation, further driving armed groups farther into the forest and displacing them.

According to the defense chief, there is no indication that the government’s strategy for combating banditry in Zamfara and the larger Northwest has changed despite the continuous offensives.

He claimed that all armed groups in the nation had received a clear message from the security services that the days of impunity were over.

“For years, criminals, terrorists, and bandits have devastated our nation’s challenging terrain by establishing strongholds and conducting lethal raids on local populations.

But as air assaults continue their pinpoint strikes and infantry begin their advance, the tide seems to be changing as the present operations get up steam.

“To make sure that we secure the entire country, special forces from the land, the sea, and the air are working diligently,” he continued.

Musa reiterated that until all terrorist groups are eliminated, the military will keep up its efforts.

“The last three days have been jam-packed with thought-provoking talks, incisive presentations, and priceless information exchange. We have had the chance to consider our joint endeavors and the difficulties that lie ahead thanks to this conference,” he remarked.

According to Musa, the conference offered a chance to come up with concepts for guaranteeing the success and efficacy of all cooperative operations.

“The importance of effort, resourcefulness, and the need for the political class to show more commitment to addressing the security challenges are some of the key takeaways,” he said.

However, we must encourage a culture of collaboration, cooperation, and synergy among our troops as a military force.

“We can maximize our collective impact and accomplish our shared goals by dismantling barriers, pooling our resources, and utilizing one another’s strengths.”

Therefore, he continued, “let us restore the spirit of unity to our respective task forces and incorporate it into our day-to-day operations.” The CDS urged commanders to recognize the magnitude of the mission at hand and to continue being devoted, focused, and committed in all of their endeavors.

He claims that President Bola Tinubu has tasked them with securing Nigeria and has exhorted them to be creative and adjust to the ever-changing landscape.
