The deployment of 54 patrol cars and motorbikes to strengthen military operations against insurgents in New Marte, Marte Local Government Area, has been authorized by Babagana Umara Zulum, the governor of Borno State.

While visiting New Marte to evaluate the security situation and plan for the resettlement of displaced communities, the governor made the statement.

In order to strengthen the military’s operational capabilities in the battle against the Boko Haram insurgency, the approval includes 50 operational motorcycles, four Buffalo Toyota pickup vehicles, and surveillance equipment.

The military’s unwavering efforts to bring peace and stability back to the area were praised by Governor Zulum. He thanked the soldiers for their sacrifices and commitment, pointing out that their work has made it possible for things to gradually return to normal.

Zulum visited Dikwa on his way back from Marte to look at construction projects that were still in progress, such as the Dikwa General Hospital, the High Islamic College, and semi-permanent shelters for displaced people to return to.

Along with the governor were important government representatives such as Sugun Mai Mele, the local government and Emirates affairs commissioner, Prof. Usman Tar, and Engr. Gambomi Maina, who represented Marte in the House of Assembly as Karta Maina Ma’aji Lawan of Kukawa.
