In a startling event, bandits have raided the Tsiga hamlet in Katsina State’s Bakori local government area and abducted a number of locals, including Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (rtd), a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Residents were in a state of terror and mayhem as armed attackers invaded the hamlet early on Thursday morning, at precisely 12:30 am.
According to people acquainted with the situation, security forces were attempting to secure the captives’ release after alerting the relevant authorities.
At press time, the situation was fast developing, and details on the other attack victims were still unknown.
