AC Milan player Youssouf Fofana believes their Coppa Italia victory over AS Roma was among their best of the season.
Milan advanced to the semifinals following their 3-1 victory yesterday night. Fofana later stated: “In general, yes (it’s our best win of the season) because we controlled the game, but not in reality because the final against Inter was the most beautiful.” In terms of football quality, I believe it was one of the most beautiful victory, if not the best.
When asked if Milan is changing under coach Sergio Conceicao, he replied: “Yes, since when he arrived, we went straight to Riyadh and didn’t have time to work. After a month, we’re becoming closer: he’s pleased, which is wonderful for us. We need to reach the level he expects of us as quickly as feasible.”
Regarding his new teammates, Fofana stated, “We are amazed that so many players have arrived in 24 hours, but I am not surprised by their quality: we are in Milan, and Milan deserves players of this caliber. I am glad for them since they performed well.”
