At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 2, former Senate President Bukola Saraki congratulated his son, Seni Saraki, on his Grammy win.

Seni’s work on the Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack, which took home the Best Reggae Album Grammy, earned him his first Grammy.

Taking through X (formerly Twitter), Saraki expressed immense pride in his son’s achievement.

“Congratulations, Seni, on winning your first Grammy last night for your work on the ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ soundtrack, which took home the award for Best Reggae Album!

“Seeing you pour your heart into your passion and having it recognized on the global stage is an indescribable joy.

Well done! We are super proud of you!”

Seni responded to the victory by thanking all of the musicians and producers who worked on the soundtrack, including Bloody Civilian and Wizkid from Nigeria.

Because it’s about Bob Marley’s legacy, I’m grateful to all the incredible artists, producers, and engineers who had the guts to take on this project.

“I’m grateful that they took on the songs, reinterpreted them, and did it in their own unique style. He wrote, “Artists such as Daniel Caesar, Wizkid, Bloody Civilian, and Jessie Reyez.”

The biographical movie Bob Marley: One Love chronicles the life of the legendary reggae artist, emphasizing his setbacks, victories, and groundbreaking songs.

Seni already received industry attention for his work as a music consultant on the soundtrack of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which received four Grammy nominations in 2023. This Grammy win is another significant milestone for Seni.
