Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president, visited Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi on Tuesday in response to the passing of his mother Maryam Namadi-Umar and son Abdulwahab Umar Namadi.
Atiku shared a video of the visit on X (formerly Twitter).
He stated, “Today, I paid a condolence visit to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi over the recent loss of his dear son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, and his beloved mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi-Umar.”
“I ask Allah to enlarge her tomb and illuminate her face on the Last Day. Ameen.
During his official visit to China on December 25, 2024, the governor’s mother passed away.”
A automobile accident claimed Namadi’s son’s life 24 hours later. He and his buddies were traveling back to Dutse from Kafin Hausa when he lost control of his car, causing it to flip.
Abdulwahab was declared deceased at the scene of the collision, although his buddies were injured to varying degrees.
