With effect from today, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the Federal College of Education (Technical) Potiskum CBT Center 2 in Yobe State and the CBT Center, Otukpo, Benue State, have been suspended for 14 days by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

According to a statement released by the board on Tuesday and signed by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, “This suspension follows a significant procedural breach that jeopardizes the security measures implemented to prevent infractions and to ensure the integrity of the information provided to the board in case of any contestation.”

Before uploading their information to the registration page, candidates were asked to personally fill out the statement.

“As proof of their decisions and the data they have supplied, the template with these details must also be uploaded. It is troubling that some centers have decided to submit blank copies of the registration form in an attempt to increase candidate submissions, even though they have been thoroughly instructed on the consequences of not following these standards.

“Any centers thinking about taking similar moves are strongly cautioned by this suspension. In the future, any center that is discovered to be uploading blank templates will be terminated and prohibited from taking part in board activities. “

“On Monday, February 3, 2025, the 2025 UTME registration opened, and it will end on March 8, 2025. Before uploading, CBT centers are highly encouraged to make sure that all forms are completed precisely and completely,” the statement continued.
