Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth’s manager, has explained why he sent Mark Travers on loan.
The goalie has joined Middlesbrough for the rest of the season.
Iraola told the Daily Echo, “I think everything starts because Mark wants to play, wants to be the number one goalkeeper.”
If you ask me, I don’t want to lose Mark Travers since he has been excellent when he has performed.But we also have to understand the player, the club, and whether or not they struck a deal because it is undoubtedly financially beneficial to the club.
“Sometimes you have to look at loans or the potential of, yeah, it’s financially advantageous because they’ll probably pay the salary or you can improve the player’s value or the player has to play. “I believe we need to comprehend all of the situations, and we are quite confidence in Will Dennis.
“He will now be the second keeper, and with his daily preparation, I believe we are convinced that if he is required to play, we will be comfortable with him.
“And I’m not sure (if there is a recall option).”
“I am not sure if you have told me about the contract and these things. I’m truly not sure what is in the small letter of the contract. I really don’t know.”
