Manchester United has agreed to sign Sporting CP winger Geovany Quenda at the end of the season.

United is almost done with their first January transfer window acquisition, with Patrick Dorgu scheduled to arrive from Lecce for €35 million (£29.2 million).

Dorgu will be the first new player under Ruben Amorim’s leadership, but it’s now being rumored that United has also made a big move to bolster his team this summer.

According to the report, United has already agreed to sign Quenda in the summer transfer window.

The report claims that Sporting are expecting the deal to be worth €60m (£50.1m) and United have been keen put the move in place ready for next season.

Quenda initially started out at Benfica’s academy before he joined Sporting at the age of 13 in 2019.

The 17-year-old signed his first professional contract with Sporting in August 2023 and was given his first-team debut by Amorim a year later.

At right wing-back, Quenda made a name for himself in Amorim’s squad and is probably going to do so at United.

Quenda received a new contract in September that binds him to Sporting through 2027.

Quenda’s release clause was increased from €45 million (£37.6 million) to €100 million (£83.6 million) as part of the new deal.
