2027:APC begs Nigerians to prevent PDP from Regaining Power.
The opposition Peoples Democratic Party is a political platform that is slowly dying due to its ongoing leadership issue, according to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The PDP allegedly left behind a rot after 16 years in power, therefore the APC encouraged Nigerians to make sure it doesn’t return. During an interview, Bala Ibrahim, the APC’s National Publicity Director, made the appeal.
He said, “Nigeria was still suffering from the rot of the 16-year misrule of the PDP. That party is gone. Are these the clowns people are taking seriously to rule this country again? Believe me, this is just the beginning. We at the APC are enjoying the entertainment.
“The party is not good at managing anything, including itself. What is happening has shown that God came to the rescue of Nigerians by pushing them out of power
“There are more to come if you go into the nitty-gritty of the problems in that party. They should come and learn how to play politics in our APC Progressive Institute set up by the National Chairman of the APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje. They will be taught how to play politics without bitterness.”
“How is the APC responsible for the crisis that is happening at Wadata Plaza (PDP headquarters in Abuja)?” Ibrahim asked, recalling that some opponents of President Bola Tinubu had claimed the APC was involved in the PDP and other opposition parties’ crisis. We won’t even remain near each other. How, therefore, can they hold us responsible for their problems? APC appears to have two chairmen and two secretaries, but what does it have to do with that?
“They simply don’t know how to administer anything and they cannot. Who among the protestants is a card-carrying member of the APC? Who among the people causing the crisis is claiming allegiance to APC? None. It is within them.”
Key officials of the PDP’s North East zonal caucus met in Bauchi to discuss reconciliation initiatives and plans for the party’s future, especially the 2027 elections, but former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was conspicuously absent.
The three PDP governors from the area attended the meeting on Thursday.
They are Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State; Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State; and Dr. Agbu Kefas, the governor of Taraba State.
Additionally present were senators, members of the House of Representatives, state assembly members from the zone, and members of the PDP Reconciliation Committee, which was chaired by former National Secretary Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
