The registration period for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was originally set to start yesterday, has been postponed for reasons provided by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

According to a statement sent by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, registration will open on Monday, February 3. According to JAMB, the postponement was required to enable the board to make necessary modifications to its registration templates.

It also stated that it was investigating certain Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers more thoroughly after learning that they had obtained approval by using false facilities.

“These adjustments come in light of the recent suspension of certain law programmes at selected universities, as submitted to the Board by the Council for Legal Education,” according to JAMB

The board acknowledges the disruption this may cause to candidates and other stakeholders and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience.”
