
Suspected terrorists killed at least five people in Lighitlubang village, Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State.
The attack, which took place on Friday night, was purportedly carried out by suspected terrorists.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers entered the village while the people were sleeping, slaughtering the victims.
Moses Bankat, a peasant, verified the event to PUNCH Online in Jos on Saturday.
The Plateau State Police Command spokesman, DSP Alabo Alfred, confirmed that a family of five, including a man, his wife, and a child, were killed by suspected terrorists in Lighitlubang village in Bungha District of Mangu Local Government around midnight on January 31, 2025. Security agents have been deployed to the area to maintain peace.
The attack has caused shockwaves in the town, with many locals expressing dread and anxiety.
