Days before the transfer deadline, Manchester United had to postpone Patrick Dorgu’s physical medical.
United thinks Dorgu suits the 3-4-3 system, which manager Ruben Amorim is looking for.
According to the he Mail, United and Lecce had fruitful discussions earlier this week about a £30 million move, including add-ons.
There is now a sense of urgency, though, as Dorgu is now anticipated to travel to England this weekend due to the medical delay.
Incomplete contracts and documentation for the initial test were the cause of the delay.
United needs to complete the transaction as soon as possible because the transfer window closes at 11 p.m. on Monday, February 3.
