James Ajibola idowu Ige, SAN, also known as Bola Ige, was a Nigerian politician and lawyer who was assassinated on December 23, 2001.

It has been precisely twenty-three years since Chief Bola Ige, the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, was assassinated at his residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, shortly after traveling from Lagos with his kid, Ige was murdered.

On the day of the event, how many security personnel were with him?
They were eight-armed security men including DSS Chief.
Muyiwa claimed that “the DSS was making calling and giving information to several people as they were going. Muyiwa challenged the DSS officer, saying “why are you telling everyone where we are going? If there’s anything, tell them we’re going to Esa Oke and not Lagos
When they arrived home, Muyiwa observed that Bodija security guards were not present, which is unusual. Muyiwa said “10minutes later, that’s when the invaders came.”
Did Bola Ige give the Security Men permission to leave the compound?
“No, I was there, we were together,” Muyiwa said.
