After making his Champions League debut, James McConnell, a Liverpool star, praised Arne Slot and expressed his pride.
He finished Liverpool’s encounter against PSV Eindhoven in his debut competition game.
Liverpool won the league-phase standings and advanced to the round of 16 automatically despite a 3-2 loss, and McConnell was happy the coach gave him the opportunity to play.
“It was a really proud moment to start the game and I was really excited,” remarked little McConnell after the game.
Because of the work that all of the senior guys have done this season to put us in such a strong position, I believe the manager has faith in a lot of young guys tonight.
“I’m really grateful to the boss and you’ve just got to try to take the opportunity when it comes to you, even if it was a tough game like that.”
