New AC Milan signing Kyle Walker admitted feeling “uncomfortable” when leaving his old club.

Walker spoke about his anxiety at informing Pep Guardiola of his decision to leave Manchester City.

Milan introduced the 34-year-old England defender this week, claiming a lack of playing time as a major factor for the loan move.

Guardiola’s response to the situation has been brief, adding that Walker has “decided to leave.”

Walker said of his trip to Milan: “When I spoke with Pep, it was not a comfortable chat because of our mutual respect.

“What he won at City, I won, too. I like to assume he knows what I bring into the dressing room. “City was my family, from cooks to cleaners, kitmen, and physiotherapists. I want to think that I was loved and helped everyone fit in.

“But things weren’t going well there and I wasn’t playing enough.”
