Many are shocked by a tragic incident in Owerri, Imo State, where a woman allegedly beat her housemaid to death for watching television with her kids.
Journalist Nonsonkwa Ochi War posted a video of the incident on Facebook, claiming that the unnamed woman was caught by neighbors who confronted her and called her a wicked and vile woman.
The suspect, who is also a nursing mother, was encircled by irate townspeople who demanded punishment for the housemaid who had died in the widely shared video.
According to incident details, the little maid was beaten severely until she died after she was accused of punishing her for watching TV with the woman’s kids.
Many Nigerians have expressed their shock and demanded justice for the young child after seeing the terrible footage, which has drawn global attention.
Police have not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
