Leicester Forward, Jamie Vardy offered a strong statement after launching Leicester City’s comeback against Tottenham Hotspur. Richarlison’s first-half goal put City down and on track for a club record eighth consecutive Premier League defeat.

Vardy equalized after the break, before Bilal El Khannous scored the winning goal in five minutes. Vardy said after the game: “It is significant, and hopefully it will put an end to the rot we have been experiencing.”

“We’ve been playing some decent football for about half a game, and it’s let us down a little. The boys battled for 90 minutes, and the manager (Ruud van Nistelrooy) deserves credit for what he’s been doing on the training pitch.”

“Sometimes you want to be the team that plays good football, but that is not always the case during games. We’ve all stuck together as a team. We worked hard, stuck together, and won big.”

“As a striker you just want to score in every game and that is what I am trying to do.”
