Ruben Amorim claimed that he is trying his best to fit Alejandro Garnacho into his Manchester United system amid his transfer links to Chelsea.

Garnacho, an Argentine winger who has been linked with a move to Chelsea, was named to Manchester United’s starting lineup for Sunday’s Premier League match against Fulham. Despite falling out of favor since Amorim took over at Old Trafford, he played 81 minutes before being replaced by Kobbie Mainoo.

After the game, the Red Devils manager was questioned about Garnacho’s future at the club, and he confessed that he is looking for the best potential spot for the young winger in his system, but he did not provide a definitive response as to whether the player will stay. United have expressed interest in Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku, and there has been speculation that the club will transfer Garnacho the opposite way to clinch the Frenchman’s signature.

When asked about Garnacho’s future, the Portuguese manager responded, “No one knows. Anything might happen. He is progressing in all aspects of the game, including comprehending and knowing when to defend. I’m trying to discover the optimal position for him; today, he played more openly than inside. “We need guys who can play one on one.”

United will return to play on Thursday night against FCSB in their last Europa League league stage match, although it is unclear whether Garnacho will continue in Amorim’s starting lineup.
