The Anambra State government has taken a significant step in combating crime by demolishing a notorious kidnappers’ den disguised as a hotel.

The hotel, known as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites or “La Cruise Hotel,” was located along the Onitsha-Owerri road in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.

The demolition exercise was carried out under tight security, and a video uploaded on the X page of Anambra State New Media revealed the horrifying discoveries made within the premises.

These included well-partitioned graves on the last floor, believed to contain the remains of over 30 victims, as well as a shrine allegedly used for occult practices by the criminal gang.

This operation is part of the state government’s efforts to tackle crime and insecurity.

The Anambra State government has also launched a new security outfit, Agunechemba, also known as Operation Udo Ga-Achị, which has been actively involved in raiding kidnappers’ hideouts and demolishing their structures.
