Queen Damilola Sukurat Moshood ( Queen Dami), The former wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, has been warned to desist from disrespecting and tarnishing the Personality of the late Monarch and his legacies.
The children of the late Alaafin of Oyo, made the charge in a letter dated January 22, 2025, on the late king’s letterhead. Queen Dami was accused of disparaging late Alaafin Adeyemi’s reputation in the recent interviews she has been granting.
Whilst acknowledging Queen Dami right and freedom of speech, the children frown at her negative remark in public against the late Alaafin.
The children vide the letter queried the moral justification of the Ex Alaafin Queen to continue referencing the late Monarch Adeyemi negatively, when they are already separated.
The children promised legal action against the Queen if her trend of derogatory remark against the Late Alaafin Adeyemi continues.
They speak further “Will you be comfortable if someone spoke negatively about your late father? Even if it wouldn’t bother you, we find your remarks about our father deeply unsettling.
“This behavior has become increasingly embarrassing and unacceptable. You are not the only ex-wife of our father and it’s time to move on with your life,” the letter read in part.
They also warned the former queen to stop tarnishing the family name with unnecessary and disrespectful comments, “You are no longer a part of the family.
Any further remarks that tarnish the memory of our family name will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to take appropriate legal or reputational actions, if necessary. We hope this serves as a clear and final warning.
”Popular social media influencer Esabod recently interviewed Dami, who has been embroiled in a relationship dispute with her ex-boyfriend, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, also known as Portable, a controversial Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper.
Throughout the interview, Queen Dami brought up the name of the deceased Alaafin several times, which would have angered Oba Adeyemi’s children.
One of the late Alaafin’s daughter, Aminat had earlier questioned Dami over the paternity of the child she had for her father.
