The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja has suspended access gate fees and toll collections, according to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

The decision is part of attempts to solve the traffic difficulties encountered by road users, according to a public notice issued by FAAN’s management. Starting on January 24, 2025, the temporary measure will last until February 7, 2025.

The statement said, “We deeply empathize with the inconvenience caused by the ongoing construction and remain committed to ensuring a smoother travel experience for all road users.”

Commuters, frequent travelers, and airport employees who have experienced traffic jams and delays as a result of the construction have praised the halt.
