This initiative, known as the Renewed Hope Medic Cities, aims to provide affordable housing for healthcare workers, recognizing their critical role in the nation’s healthcare system .

The project is a collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, the Ministry of Health, the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), and the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN).

Construction is expected to commence in January and February 2025.

The Housing Minister, Ahmed Dangiwa, emphasized that the wellbeing of healthcare workers is a priority under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Dangiwa also noted that the housing units will be made available through various ownership options, including a 30-year National Housing Funds mortgage loan, rent-to-own, installment payment, and outright purchase.
