PICTORIAL: NDLEA Alerts Lagos, Kano About Dangerous New Drug Trends

Following recent drug busts in Lagos and Kano that revealed the alarming misuse of dangerous narcotics by young people going by unsettling street identities, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has issued a warning.

Femi Babafemi, the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, posted a video of the seized items on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.

New Psychoactive Substances and others with frightening names like “Suck & Die,” “Rubber Solution,” “Dead Man,” and “Gelato” are among them.

Babafemi asked community leaders, parents, and guardians to be proactive and watchful in spotting and halting these trends within their areas of influence.

He said, “Narco-trend update: Parents, shine your eyes Latest seizures by @ndlea_nigeria officers in Lagos and Kano reveal scary names of some substances, including NPS, we should all watch out for in our homes and communities: Suck & die, Rubber solution, Dead man, Gelato.”
