A guy named Benedict Toju was arrested by the Delta State Police Command after he claimed that officers he spoke with during a stop-and-search operation had stolen his manhood.

On Thursday, January 16, SP Bright Edafe, the state police command spokesperson, revealed this in a video that was uploaded to his X handle.

Edafe described the incident in full.

“We have a wonderful suspect, his name is Benedict Toju, he was intercepted alongside his friends in Warri by policemen from Ekpan Police station, after searching him, he came back and alleged that the Police made his manhood disappear. He was brought to the police station and taken to the hospital where it was checked and his manhood was intact. He said he was sorry.

Edafe said the police constantly hearing similar reports but have never encountered a person whose manhood genuinely disappeared.

“This is why we continue to set an example in such cases. Let them go to court and explain how their manhood disappears when it is confirmed to be intact.

As he described his experience, Toju said that once the police let him go, he had an odd feeling.

“When I left, I was feeling somehow, so I came back to explain how I was feeling, which was very wrong. They brought me to the station. The DPO requested a doctor’s examination, which was conducted and confirmed that my penis is intact” he said.

Toju gave an explanation when questioned why he made the charge without first confirming his condition.

I checked by opening my pants, but I was alarmed since it seemed to be getting smaller and smaller. I later realized that my panic was the root of it.

“I feel bad because I made a false accusation,” he continued, reflecting on the situation. I think I’ll grow from this error.
