Ajibola Akinyefa, popularly known as Bàbá Olomi, is a newsreader who has announced his departure from Lagelu 96.7 FM in Ibadan, Oyo State.

In an emotional letter to the listeners, employees, and management, Ajibola conveyed his sincere appreciation for the support and chances he had while working at the media outlet.
“I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the management for the opportunity to be a part of this team. Your guidance, support, and trust have been invaluable to me,” he wrote.
Thinking back on the relationships he developed with his coworkers, he added, “To my colleagues, I am grateful for the memories, laughter, and late-night productions we shared. Your professionalism, creativity, and commitment to excellence have inspired me every day.”
Additionally, Ajibola expressed gratitude to Lagelu FM’s devoted fans and partners for their continuous support and input, which he claimed stoked the team’s enthusiasm for broadcasting.
Ajibola promised the Lagelu FM community that he will always treasure his time there and look forward to keeping in touch as he embarks on the next phase of his career.
His next career step has not yet been revealed as of the time of writing.
